Description
In the sixteenth century, Hannah Green, a fourteen-year-old Jewish girl, flees Spain with her father because of the Inquisition and is ultimately adopted by Robert Dudley, son of King Edward's protector. She is brought to court as a fool for Queen Mary and then Queen Elizabeth and eventually she has to choose between life as a commoner and becoming entangled in the life of the royal family.
